Sacramento is the capital city of California. It is featured in the base game of American Truck Simulator.

Sacramento was completely reworked in update 1.44 as part of the second phase of the California rework.

Features

Sacramento is separated into three parts:

The southwestern part around Harbor Boulevard is accessed by US 50 exit 1 B and features a Coastline Mining depot, a Farmer's Barn factory, a Wallbert food warehouse, a garage, and a Mack truck dealer.

The southeastern part around Siena Avenue is accessed by US 50 exit 9 and SR 16 and features a Charged warehouse, a Home Store warehouse, a Sell Goods warehouse, and a Voltison Motors warehouse.

The northwestern part around West El Camino Avenue is accessed by Interstate 80 exit 85 and features a truck stop with a Gallon Oil unloading point.

In addition, there are a Bitumen roadworks site and a Sunshine Crops farm north of Sacramento and a Mon Coeur vineyard in Napa Valley northwest of Sacramento.

Connections

• The IS5 runs to Stockton and Los Angeles to the south and Redding and Oregon to the north.
• The IS80 runs to Oakland and San Francisco to the southwest and Truckee and Reno, Nevada to the northeast.

In addition, the CA37 runs from I-80 in Vallejo southwest of Sacramento towards Napa Valley (via the CA121) and Ukiah (via the USCA101) to the northwest, and a minor road runs from I-5 in Dunnigan north of Sacramento to Redding, parallel to I-5, providing access to a Bitumen roadworks and a Sunshine Crops farm.

History

• In the initial version of American Truck Simulator, Sacramento was accessed by Interstate 5 and Interstate 80 and featured a small Bitumen depot, a Plaster & Sons building construction site, a small Wallbert food market, two Wallbert warehouses, a garage, a Gallon Oil gas station, two motels (one Sunset Motel and one Starlite Inn), and a service shop in the city proper, as well as a Bitumen roadworks site north of the city. The landmarks of Sacramento were the Sacramento River, the Tower Bridge, the Capital Square, the Courthouse and Federal Building, and the Wells Fargo Center.

• In update 1.32, the diamond interchange of Interstate 80 and Reed Avenue was changed to a folded diamond interchange, and the cloverleaf interchange of Interstate 5 and Interstate 80 was changed to a cloverstack interchange.

• In update 1.37, a Mack truck dealer was added.

• In update 1.41, as part of the first phase of the California rework, a Sunshine Crops farm north of Sacramento was added.

• In update 1.44, as part of the first phase of the California rework, Sacramento was completely reworked. All roads and junctions were rebuilt, and US 50 and SR 16 were added. The small Bitumen depot, the Plaster & Sons building construction site, the small Wallbert food market, one of the two Wallbert warehouses, the Gallon Oil gas station, the two motels, and the service shop were removed. The city was separated into three parts. A southwestern part featuring a Coastline Mining depot and a Farmer's Barn factory and to which the Wallbert warehouse, the garage, and the Mack truck dealer were moved was added. A southeastern part featuring a Charged warehouse, a Home Store warehouse, a Sell Goods warehouse, and a Voltison Motors warehouse was added. A northwestern part featuring a truck stop with a Gallon Oil unloading point was added. A Mon Coeur vineyard in Napa Valley northwest of Sacramento was added.
