Lyon is a city in south-eastern France. It is the only French city alongside Paris to be featured in both Euro Truck Simulator (ETS 1) and the original Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS 2). (Bordeaux is to be introduced to ETS 2 via the Vive la France DLC)

Euro Truck Simulator

In ETS 1, Lyon is connected to Paris by the A6 Autoroute, and to Bordeaux via a minor road (although truckers may also use the E80). In addition, the A7 Autoroute goes south from Lyon and heads towards Italy and Spain, while the road to Switzerland branches off from the A6 near Lyon.

FCP, Tradeaux have depots in the city, while TREE-ET has a mill on the road towards Bordeaux. A service shop is in the city for truckers to refresh between deliveries.

Euro Truck Simulator 2

Spain and Bordeaux are omitted in ETS 2 base game, meaning that Lyon is at the south-western corner of the base game map.

Landmarks

Known landmarks in Lyon are the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, the Lyon Cathedral, the Centre d'échanges de Perrache, the Tour Part-Dieu and the Tunnel of Fourvière.

The A6 Autoroute crosses the two rivers Rhône and Saône in Lyon.

Features

Kaarfor, Tradeaux, Trameri and SanBuilders have depots in Lyon, while a Stein Bruch quarry is to the northeast of the city, connected to the minor road towards Genève.

A garage, a hotel, a recruitment agency, a service shop and a small Renault truck dealer are present in Lyon.

Connections

The A6 Autoroute still exists, while the A43 Autoroute serves as the city's south-eastern access. Truckers may go to Dijon and Paris via the A6, and to Torino via the A43. The A41 Autoroute goes east of the A43 and connects Switzerland.

A minor road runs north from the A43 near Lyon, providing an alternative route to Genève, Switzerland.

With the Vive la France! DLC, the A7 Autoroute is added to the south of Lyon, extending to the junction next to the service shop.
